My System: sky tv Technomate 3200d+ 80 Cm dish Digipower motor DisEQC H-H motor SG-2100 |
Hi I have an 80CM technomate 3200d+ setup I can get 1W, 5E, 13E, 19E & 28.2 E perfect, although when i try to move the dish via the box to from 28.2E to 39E the box says moving the Hellas SAT but the dish does not move. I have checked on the motor that the screws that stop the dish rotating over certain angles are not in the wrong place, if i manually press the move east button on the bottom of the motor it moves fine east so its not a motor problem. I have looked around the net and people have said about software limits on where the motor can move on reciver boxes but i can't see anything in the tecnomate 3200d+ menus. Any ideas? Cheers Gray

My System: sky tv Technomate 3200d+ 80 Cm dish Digipower motor DisEQC H-H motor SG-2100 | I'm using Disteqc 1.2 at the moment as i have had to manual tune to get the best signal (80+)/ strengths (70+) The motor is a digipower motor DisEQC H-H motor SG-2100 Is USALS better than the other option? Will this solve the problem?

My System: 75e-75w C & KU, 36v h-h /36v & diseqc actuators / diseqc -USALS motors / Anlg to HD Channel Masters C120s dishes, stb's inc echo3000, lnbs, meters, custom polar mounts & elevation/incline actuator conversions... | Check your East limit (both) in motor control isn't too low and alter it by viewing the dish and moving it bit by bit with the controls there to your maximum east without hitting anything. Could be motor problems - just rebuilt one that did the same westward. USALS is better.. you can see other problems with USALS where diseqc tends to hide them unless you go out to your dish and view the dial on the motor etc... ... USALS easier too.

My System: sky tv Technomate 3200d+ 80 Cm dish Digipower motor DisEQC H-H motor SG-2100 | When i manually pressed east on the button on motor itself earlier the dish went upto 60 / 70 east. If i manually press east in the tecnomate menu, the dish does not move. I will try USALS in a few minutes Thanks Gray

Switch to usals as stated and input your long/lat. The n send dish to reference satellite and check signal. you can reset the motor by going to DiSEqC 1.2 mode first, drop down to motor control and then reset motor. (note: resetting motor will delete your stored positions for DiSEqC 1.2 to factory table) A - setting is shown as W

Suggest you switch to usals, enter log/lat and then send the dish first to known satellites, ie thor, hotbird, astra. Then send to Hellas 39e, it should go the the calculated position.

(TOO LATE) In a diseqc motor a number of satellites are preset for diseqc use.. you can alter any of them and some will be missing (39e might not be set yet) For those that aren't set already... you select the nearest satellite you already have (28e) .. go into motor control... change to 39e at the top, make sure you are on an active transponder in 39e and nudge eastwards until you get a signal & it starts to lock.. then use the fine motor control until you get the best signal and SAVE it.. get out of the menus (it will return to 28e) and choose 39e and check you are on the right satellite.. that's about what you do for all missing satellites ... or those that are not matching properly as stbs can be different to motors .. diseqc number wise... (the TM doesn't allow you to edit the diseqc numbers) You must make sure you set the motor up propetly first allowing for your location on the motor dial (not in the box like USALS)

You need to decide if you want to use Disc 1.2 OR usals

Should be under DiSEqC 1.2>Motor settings>Reset system.

My System: sky tv Technomate 3200d+ 80 Cm dish Digipower motor DisEQC H-H motor SG-2100 | Hi Thanks for your advice so far, i have now been outside while the other half kept pressing east, it does go past 28.2E quite a way, although i have found the cable going from the LNB to the motor is being stretched tight as i did not cut it long enough (well when it was at thor 1W it looked long enough) so now i have some new cable to attach tonight. When i tried to view Astra and hotbird there was no sats so i redid the cable temporary and the channels came back. When went very EAST the red light came on under the motor which i am sure this is to show low intensity, is this because the wire was being pulled tight or the houses behind me are blocking the view ( i was not on 39E, just randomly EAST to test the limits) Thanks Gray

The red light might also come on when the motor hits the end stops, I don't know as I've never gone that far round.
