Question Got my price qoute for Andrew/CM 1.2m.

Hello,
I'm about to splash the cash and got this qoute today, is it a decent price I mean average not bad?

Torn between the polar mount or the 1224, any views.

I need to get an actuator but that can be got locally.

I'm set up with actuator cable and controller.

Do I need anything else?

Thanks everyone I appreciate the forum.

Here's the qoute.

Andrew/CM

1,20M POLAR MOUNT, ANT, W/LNBF ADAPTER KIT € 239,00

Invacom TWIN LNB with Feed Horn, 0,3 dB € 35,00

My System: 1.2M, & 55cm Gregorian Dish`s, 1.8m Precision dish Jaeger 1224 H-H motor.Dreambox 800, Vbox-II. SS2 Card.

I would go with the 1224, the perfect combo for your dish!

You get more range with the H to H motor

From your description I am not sure what LNB and feed arrangement you have gone for.

To get the very best of this dish you need a Channel Master feedhorn and a c120 LNB.

I'm going for Invacom TWH 031 with feed horn. Is this C120 LNB a special item ie a LNB holder from Andrew/CM?

Thanks.

I've sent you a PM

There is nothing wrong with the Invacom TWH 031 LNB and it will probably work well with the Channel Master dish. It is an integrated LNB/feedhorn like most of the LNBs on the market today.

But to get the very best out of the Channel Master dish you need a c120 LNB - either Invacom or Inverto have a good example - plus a separate Channel Master feedhorn. A c120 LNB does not have an integrated feedhorn.

But the price is much higher than €35 - possibly you will have to pay €100 for the two items. Also Channel Master feedhorns are getting harder to obtain now.

My System: andrews dish - jaeger 1224 motor, vantage x221tsci, skystar 2, diablo v2.3, cyfra+

if you can get hold of a polar mount then get one otherwise buy a 1224 motor from hm-sat.de as i bought one from them for 119 euro plus shipping which is a good price i think

if you buy the 1224 or polar mount you will need to use a 3inch pole

the feedhorn fits into the holder with 2 plastic adapters

Back from France, traffic not too bad, driving around Lille is not so straight forward but got there in the end.

All was waiting for me, off to source wall brackets and the Jaeger 1224 tomorrow. I wonder could anyone comment on the price I paid. Used €20's worth of diesel.

Thanks alot. JD Belgium.

Hi JD
Welcome to the forum.
The price is quite reasonable.
Congratulations on your acquisition.
I have a spare Polar mount with the actuator, if you wish as I do not use a motor.
I am searching to source CM dishes and get access to all accessories. Is the dealer in Lille any good?
I want also to get a dual mode wr75 feedhorn to use with a Norsat DRO LNB where the rectangular throat is directly on the feedhorn and does not require a transition like the one supplied with the 611606007 that you have received.
Can I have the coordinates of the shop?
Thank you

Nice to chat with you on the phone. I think I will now go down the polar mount road so I will take you up on your generous offer. allsatcom dot com in Roubaix, France were excellent to deal with, they seem to have lots of CM/Andrew spares, thanks to charly20 for their contact details.

So far so good thanks to this website for advice and contacts.

Regards JD Belgium.

Hello,
Back from Canofan's location.

Very nice setup.

Thanks for the polar mount and actuator, very kind.

A pal of mine has sourced galvanised wall brackets for the a 7.5cm pole.

Was in Rue de Brabant here in Brussels, bought a few single out BEST LNB's, any views?

BTW Canofan, really great to see the Nilesat Horozontals working in rainy weather on a CM 1.2m, my wife will be very happy.

Regards JD Belgium.

Why is that? Is nobody making them anymore?

I don't know why they are hard to obtain. It could be that production has stopped, but I don't know.

The only dealer in the UK that I could find is selling off old stock and selling them at a mark up of three times the cost to them. But, I thought you had found a supply in Lille at a good price.

Thank you for your advice before my purchase. I was very happy with allsatcom dot com and they had all needed in stock and more if needs be. Have another thread going about a new 1.5m dish from ASC Signal.
Very happy with my purchase as per the pics on members installations.

Regards JD Belgium.
