My System: 1 mtre dish motorised
Problem with 1m motorised dish

I have taken weeks and I am still no where. 80 cm worked well motorised outside the window. Went for a motorised 1mtr on my chimney. I just cant get the right angle. 3.255 / 55.934. Angle of 6 degrees to the west from South. I have got a few sats but never them all.
Should I use motorised and dish to get the right angle?
Am I correct?
After today I have lost everything

My System: Pace Sky HD, DM7000s, CubeRevo 3000HDPVR, Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Televes H45 Digital Spectrum analyser.

Can you outline how you set it up?

Post 1 Mtr Dish

Brick wall. Two triangle brackets. Thick pole half a metre space. Changed motor to cheaper one as more sturdy. Pole Level. Compass facing south and line with ruler at 6 degrees West. Try to have dish facing 6 west. Astra and hotbird came out ok. It is all the sats I am after. My dish can take 80 West and 65 East. Looking for 45 intelsat Sky, Thor, 42 Turksat and all the rest in that area. Using usals it always seem to jump over 30.0. help

Did you not follow the procedures in the guides at the top of the section?

If you are trying to set up you arc by using a compass and angles alone, you will not achieve your aims, please read the guides.

Dish and Arc

Now found Sky to Thor1. It took minutes. I am now looking for the elevation number for my dish. 3.255 and 55.934. I still am not sure how to find my latitude or is it elevation. Sorry for this question hope you will help.

I have it. Set dish to measurements. I am going to set Motorised to 55.9. Juggle about with Dish to get best pic. He presto.
