My System: Topfield TF5050CI Common interface digital satellite receiver
Question Help needed with DiSEqC settings

I would be grateful for any hep with a problem I have. I have a dish with 2 lnbs one pointed at Astra1 and the other at Hotbird with a single cable running to my receiver. My Humax expired so I have just bought a Topfield TF5050 CI to replace it and am having difficulty downloading Hotbird channels using automatic and manual searches. It seems that I am not able to get the box to switch to Hotbird.

The manual talks about DiSEqC settings but although I can get to the menu I do not know what settings I should enter. I need to be able to get the lnbs to switch but do not know how.

Can anybody help me please!

I'm not familiar with that Box, but they all behave much the same way:

Set DiSEqC for Hotbird to A or 1 or something similar.

Set Astra1 to 2 or B or similar.

It's that easy.

The only thing you can do wrong is get them reversed - and that is simple to sort out!

Generally things default to "A" and, as you appear to be getting Astra 1 by default, maybe Hotbird should be "B" (Depends which LNB you've connected to which DiSEqC switch Port .....................)

Smile Thanks

Using the information you both have given me I have worked it out. Simply did not realise that you had to change the setting for both lnbs. Thanks guys for your help.
