My System: Pace Sky HD, DM7000s, CubeRevo 3000HDPVR, Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Televes H45 Digital Spectrum analyser.

That will be an awful lot of stress on that wall.

Good point.

That wall where the pole is attached to is a disused attic, whats the worst that can happen?

If it was damaged I know someone who could repair it.

Remember that guy in the north of England with the 2.4m dish attached to a wall, I wonder how he's getting on?

Any views welcome.

Lots to think about.

That may help, what thickness is the wall and is it cavity or solid?

Thanks for that, as I type I'm thinking of a ground location close by, that might take the pressure off.

Thanks everyone.

The brackets overstress the wall in a gale and bang - down comes the entire wall and wrecks all the dishes!

How about a diagonal brace from ground level to the pole to reduce sideways stress?

Not possible as then car would not fit out the gate.

I'm going to leave as is and I'm going to place the other CM 1.2m in another location.

I'll take my chances with as is. If I suffer sat melt down I'll post pics. Be sure I won't lose sleep.

Thanks.

My System: andrews dish - jaeger 1224 motor, vantage x221tsci, skystar 2, diablo v2.3, cyfra+

what's these mounts that go through the roof and fix to the roof timber as they might be an ideal as it would be into the roof and deflect the wind a little

or if the direction of 7west is clear maybe you can have a 1.2 or even 1.5m fixed for that on a ground mount instead of mount one next to the 1.2m
