nOOb update : dual lnb equipment list

Ok,

Did some more research locally added to all of your comments and found a very friendly and helpful local (2 km away) supplier.

We discussed my requirements for 19.2 and 28.2 and they came up with the following :

* 85 cm Gibertini Aluminium Dish with 40 mm 'feedhalter'
* 2 , MTI Blue Line 0.2bB single LNB's
* 1 2xvari LNB holder for 2 single LNB's
* Weatherproof DiSEqC
* 1 thru window ribbon cable with F-connectors
* 10 m 'good quality' cable
* F connectors etc

That lot comes in under 110 Euro which seems very fair then anything from 15 to 35 Euro for a stand depending on weather I mount it on the rail on mount it on my terrace and use more of a patio mount ( a pole with a base that takes a couple of paving slabs for stability).

Anyone see anything I am missing other than a signal strength meter ???

Thanks

My System: Pace Sky HD, DM7000s, CubeRevo 3000HDPVR, Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Televes H45 Digital Spectrum analyser.

That looks like a good set up and is value for money.

Thanks. I am a little in the dark so to have independant verification is excellent. The person I spoke with seemed very keen on the Gibertini.

Best part is it is all in stock and I can pick it up this weekend.

They will set up at 50 Euro/hr but I would like to have a go myself first...that is the fun part.

Getting to close to my first attempt to set up.

Here is my plan but I ave a big hole.

1. Using a direct connection from only the one prime focus LNB, allign dish to 28.2E and tweak using signal strength meter and receiver.

2. Mount and connect second LNB and DiSEqC switch.

3. Allign second LNB for 19.2 E

Here is where I get stuck. I have read all the good tips, (and I have the nice PDF diagram ) I know this LNB will be to the left and a little below the prime focus LNB for 28.2E but I really have no clue where to start in placing the second LNB to have even a hope of getting 19.2.

Anyone got some good tips ?

Thanks

Place it next to the focal and then work your way outwards to Astra19.

My System: TM6800HD, TM1000, TM600 Linux,TM5200, TM2200 motor, Triax TD110 dish + Fortec 85cm. Meter=Satlook Micro+G2 NIT

It will be about 10cm away, depending on the focal length of the dish.
