My System: Freesat + and 19.2e
Poor quality on some transponders at 19.2e Good on most others

Hi, I have set up a minidish at 19.2e. Most channels I am getting 90% signal strength and 75% quality. A few (ZDF, ARD and TVP etc) are 90% signal strength but between 5-15% quality and unwatchable. I must have the dish aligned right? or not? Any ideas or help on how to get all of these transponders. Thanks

My System: Sky Freesat in UK, Astra 1 ana/dig in UK using Technomate -5000 DAPCI, Astra 2 South Beam and Eurobird in Spain.

You say you are using a "minidish", do you mean the little sky type? I think you need at least an 80cm dish to receive all channels. That's what I use and have no problems.

I have never used a minidish for Astra 1, so can't really comment, it was just my initial thought. The only other thing I can suggest is check the LNB skew to see if that gives an improvement.

An 80cm dish is not needed for Astra 1. You will get a reasonable signal on a zone 1 minidish. Re-check the skew and alignment.

I am still getting problems with this some channels have a constantly varying signal quality. The strength is always 90% but the quality flickers all of the time between 20-45%. I have twisted the skew and this is the best i can get. All other channels remains at 90% stregth and 70% quality. Any idea. Tried slight movements of the dish but nothing works.

If the skew and alignment are fine it's difficult to know what could cause this. Check that your connections are all sound, and maybe try another LNB if you have access to one.
