My System: Looking to buy
Lost signal from 1W

For some reason I've lost all channels from Thor 1W.

This worked fine until about a week ago, and now there's nothing.

My TM6500 receiver reports a signal strength of 77% but quality of 2% from all transponders on that Sat.

I can move to other sats further East and they work OK, so I think my LNB/cable is OK, but I can't work out why I can no longer see 1W.

I've tried fine adjustments east and west but the quality just sits at near zero.

I've checked line of sight and nothing has changed across the road that would block it.

Any suggestions as to what may be wrong?

My only idea is that somehow my dish has dropped or something and no longer aligns with the arc.

Cheers

Neil

Well, I suspect I'm not on that sat given I can't get any signal from any transponder.

My East/West callibration looks to be OK as other sats further East are fine, so I'm wondering if the dish has dropped off the bottom of the arch when its further west.

Have the neighbours built an extension on their house ?

There is a very fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness"

Well, just got the ladder out to inspect the dish - it was as I suspect, the virtical angle had dropped from the original calibration.

All sorted!
