Question Modified lnb's

Hi there,

I am looking for someone/manufacturer/... who can sell me LNB's with the LO set to 9.0 Ghz. Anyone out there has a clue for me? Just like normal Universal LNB's but only the LO set to 9.0 Ghz.

Hope to hear from you!!

Is there any reason for such an LNB?

9GHz Local oscillators are not easy to come by, the ceramic chambers used in modern stuff is built down to save costs, so it might be worth looking at grabbing some older LNBs (the last of the dual band 13/18V switchers) and adjusting them for the new frequencies.

Front end feeds and transfer ports will also have to be machined out by a millimetre or so to match the new reception characteristics, not easy in a Universal horn LNB.

There is a very fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness"
