My System: Freesat + and 19.2e
Signal Quality on some TP's at 19.2e

I have a Zone 1 Sky dish pointing at 19.2e. On most TP's I get about 70-75% signal quality and 90% signal strength. The picture never breaks up even in heavy rain. But on some TP's (11538V & 12574H) I get a varying quality from 55-67% and break up in rain. On 10921H I get nothing at all. I have tried realining the dish and this it is the best I can get. I have altered the skew, I have one of those weird Fortec Star LNB's that skews the wrong way! and no better.

Do you think this is:
a) the dish is too small, need a bigger dish (others say the 40cm dish is fine)
b) the LNB is rubbish (but is only a few months old)
c) trees in front of dish (but not too high and wouldn't that mean no signal at all?)
d) anyother ideas

Thanks

My System: Triax 1.1m and Orbital 80cm Motorised Dishes. Various fixed Dishes. Eclectic selection of Digital and Analogue Receivers. Complex switching and distribution that SWMBO cannot fathom. Nor me.

Do you have a DECT phone or similar "noisy" electronic device?

Try turning such things off and see if the situation improves.

If so, relocate the offending gadget.

My System: Zone1, DSI8215 SkyHD, Thomson DSI4214, TF5000CI, Dreambox DM800 HD PVR - Nab BH0.12, TM-5200D, Gibertini 104cm, SNH-031, 36v Actuator, Vbox-II, 42°E to 30°W, Sling Media, Televes H45 Digital Processing Analyser, Satlook Micro+G2 NIT, Rover SDM 1s

A Zone 1 dish shouldn't give you any problems on 19e as long as it's alignment is spot on. The transponders mentioned though do fall close to DECT frequencies as mentioned.

Tried all of that and no difference, it could be a neighbours phone maybe but nothing from inside my house. There is a mobile phone mast not too far way.
