I ve started a new thread for you as you are in Egypt, which couldn't be any closer to the centre of the Nilesat footprint if it tried, so not Fringe reception.

No, Fox movies is only on that transponder with that fec

I suggest that you delete the transponder and rescan, if you still don't get the channel, then check the usual, cable, dish, LNB etc.

Well

You may be experiencing EM radiation from other equipment which is blocking that frequency, could it be you have a WIFI router near or a DECT phone. As it is quite near the Lo band problem area:-

11630 to 11650 MHz (9750 MHz LO) IF is 1880 to 1900 MHz

You would have to move your dish to achieve Badr, have you got a motorised system?
If not I refer you to to the dish setup section of the forum as the point of a written forum is so that others can read it.

Hi everybody,

I've been having the same problem for ages, can't get Foxmovies, not even a signal for the frequency. I'm in Egypt too. It used to be on during the day then disappeared at night, now absolutely nothing.

The weird thing is we have an astra receiver downstairs and it picks up Foxmovies fine, the one upstairs (using a dvb card) doesn't. Could the problem be with the upstairs dish's LNB? It was one of those dual ones, you know, the sort you can attach two cables/receivers to. The installers I've asked say it can't be an LNB problem It's rather annoying. Any help much appreciated.

Why not move the receiver that works to the room that doesn't, in order to eliminate the cable and lnb as a cause.

That's what the sparky suggested I do but didn't think it would be worth the trouble, will give it a try! Thanks Robbo
