basic setup?

Information exchange on LNBs, Single satellite, motorised and multi-satellite systems. DiSEqC switches, positioners, motors, actuators, dish-alignment etc.

My System: acer one netbook
basic setup?

currently have a "sky box" in my front room and after seeing some of the topics here ive decided to get my channels for free from hotbird/astra, can i do this with my sky box?? can someone give me a basic list of what i need to do or what i need to buy?

My System: TM6800HD, TM1000, TM600 Linux,TM5200, TM2200 motor, Triax TD110 dish + Fortec 85cm. Meter=Satlook Micro+G2 NIT

A Sky box would be useless.


A basic setup would be

80cm dish (eg Triax TD78)
Wall bracket.
6 degree monoblock LNB
A FTA digital satellite receiver. (eg TM5200 super)
