sudden loss of HBO channels POLSAT

i have had polsat for about 10 months, im using a sky dish so not the best for the job i know, however i set the dish up myself and achieved 70 percent signal strength. all channels worked fine in all weather apart from when the dish got covered in snow.

last week i switched on HBO and it no longer works! there is no signal at all on HBO channels apart from HBO HD which i have not subscribed to. all other channels are still 70% and if i go into setup whilst trying to view HBO the transponder scanning bar shows 70%

i keep trying and i have managed to view HBO once or twice, but only during the day time. it does not seem to be weather related

any ideas?? has something changed with HOTBIRD?

My System: andrews dish - jaeger 1224 motor, vantage x221tsci, skystar 2, diablo v2.3, cyfra+

hbo might have changed transponder have you checked on lyngsat for any changes to the frequency on hotbird 13east.

otherwise could be an lnb fault if vertical or horizontal channels are affected

edit hbo listed as on 10719 V 27500 3/4 according to lyngsat

those settings are correct and my box displays those figures when trying to view HBo so it must be trying to locate the correct channels.

how can i fault find the LNB? would a faulty LNB only cause issues with one particular channel? as like i said only HBO channels are a problem!!

i have looked into it some more and it does seem a little weather related as well, on a clear day i can just about get HBO but its either pixelated or jerky, and the signal level is 10%, it all seems to point to a bad dish setup , however surely it cant be, as it worked GREAT before, and no other channel has a problem.

My System: Pace Sky HD, DM7000s, CubeRevo 3000HDPVR, Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Televes H45 Digital Spectrum analyser.

Sounds like your dish alignment may be slightly out, are you receiving the channels immediately above like Discovery Science Polska?

Hi not sure if this would have anything to do with it, but I did read on here yesterday that HBO have issued new cards. Hope this is of help and not a red herring.

Best regards Wez
