New motorised dish set up - sort of

Hi Guys,
I set up my new motorised dish yesterday with my dad. It's pole mounted on a 10 foot alloy scaffold pole via tk brackets and it pokes up above the roof apex.

It took a while to get everything up and we didn't find true south so I'm going to get a professional to come and line it up properly.

At the moment I can view everything on east (28.2, 19.2, 16 etc) but I have to manually override the receiver settings to compensate for it not pointing true south. I.e. I send the dish to the receiver pre-set of 28.2 and then manually moving it further east to pick up reception.

I can't seem to find anything on west, specifically 0.8 and 1w. Is this most likely to be because of the dish elevation and is it more forgiving going east than west?

thanks

Sounds like it's not on the arc and possibly haven't accounted for your longitude and reference satellite offset.

I originally put in the Elevation and declination data as per the technomate motor manual but we did move it up and down a bit so I think it could be out. Are the east sats more tolerant then than the west when it comes to elevation and declination?

Also does anyone know what sort of price I should be looking at for having the dish aligned properly by a professional?

I was originally quote £250 plus parts plus vat to have the dish put up originally which is why I went the diy route to get the baulk of the work done.
thanks
