My System: Pace DS430N at 28.2E and Humax PR-Fox at 19.2E.
DS430N lack of DiseqC solution required

Hi all,

I have two sats (one pointing at 19.2e and the other at 28.2e), but am unsure of the set-up in the loft (i know........... i know). I have both signals coming down the same cable to my spare room. Is there anything i can plug in at ground level that lets me switch/split DiseqC manually without having to venture loftwards?

The fact that both signals are coming down appear to confuse the DS430N.

Failing the above, which Sky Digibox is best for those outside the UK?

Many Thanks.

My System: TM6800HD, TM1000, TM600 Linux,TM5200, TM2200 motor, Triax TD110 dish + Fortec 85cm. Meter=Satlook Micro+G2 NIT

Are you subscribing to Sky?

If not, the Sky digibox is superfluous and you could just use your Humax Foxsat as it will switch Diseqc.

Also you may be able to use the foxsat to switch the Diseqc and run the sky digibox off the if loopthrough.

yeah i have a sky subscription, but havent had a signal for it for quite a while now. Direct debits are still going through for it so I guess it still works.

Do you mean I can have a signal out of the RF Out port of the FoxSat and into the Sky Digibox whereby I can choose which signal goes out? I have the DiseqC set as A for 19.2e and D for 28.2e.

I guess the FoxSat cant decrypt Sky even though I have a valid card?

In effect Yes, but it is IF not RF. What comes out is determined by which satellite is selected by the Foxsat, and which transponder is selected.

As long as the transponder needed by the Sky box is on the same polarity and band as the one on the foxsat, the Skybox should get a signal. Though I imagine that the default tranponder would need a signal at some point too.

By the way, if you had 28E on Diseqc A, it should just work anyway, without anyything else needed.
