oh one more thing, i would'nt know about extra transponders, unfortunatly i only need the 2 used for EPL games, and i spent alot of time focusing the dish to pick these up as strongly as possible. I have no plans to re-orient the dish as its been used to stream pictures to our analysis center in esti.

i'm getting all the transponders *i think* and very good quality. It seems slightly overkill also dish size wise from my location, but i only did a basic test of obscuring a portion of the dish by standing directly infront of part of the reflector.

My System: None at the moment

You can never go too large for a dish, excellent choice.

I used the horn that came with it, and an invacom c120, the dish comes with a load of metalwork to support rx/tx but it all got removed and i just connected directly to the feed

This will make the dish 30 degrees from horizontal (as the offset angle is 22.6 degrees) so it can be more easily hidden. From the pictures (both your pictures and the installation manual) it looks as if the dish can be mounted inverted if the elevation attachment bracket is simply moved to the other end of the backframe assembly (or a new bracket fabricated for that position). From your now intimate knowledge of the antenna can you say if it looks if my proposal will work

I have found the answer to my question thanks to Peter Gardner the product line manager at Raven Skyware (as the company is now known). He sent me a picture of the modification - adding a new tab for the elevation rod to the support bracket - however, he is unable to supply the tab as the support bracket is brought in from a subcontractor.

My System: Triax 1.1m and Orbital 80cm Motorised Dishes. Various fixed Dishes. Eclectic selection of Digital and Analogue Receivers. Complex switching and distribution that SWMBO cannot fathom. Nor me.

Linkie returns "page not found"

You should have no difficulty in adjusting the reflector to a 30 degree ~ angle.

the picture you attached is identical to the bracket that the unit ships with.

This would appear to be another instance of Raven trying to sell items that are not required.

I experienced a similar issue when i was oversold on my order and they would not accept a return.

Just buy the dish and kingpost/non penetrating ground mount and you will have everything you need except and LNB

Many thanks fo the reply.
From the pictures it looks as if the bracket is welded to the back support - are you saying that its actually bolted on ?

No, I've actually got a set of exterity pro encoders to the job but I wouldn't rate them highly despite their 4.5k price tag

if I was going to do this again I would possibly use slingboxes and then do an encoding of the pictures at the remote location into an ip stream
