My System: Dreambox 8000 HD, 80cm Orbital Satellite Dish Motorized LNB with 2 outputs, 2nd output leading to upstairs and using Dreambox 500S. Pioneer VSX-1018AH-K Amp/Receiver, |
I am thinking of getting an Octo LNB so that I can feed the signal in every room in the house was wondering if I got 1, would I have to connect the cables to all the 8 outputs on the LNB at once or am I able to gradually connect the cables?? for example say I got the LNB this week, could I just connect 2 cables and the sorts out say downstairs and the 1st bedroom upstairs then gradually over time connect the other 6 outputs??

Pioneer VSX-1018AH-K Amp/Receiver, | what about the remaining 6 ends on the LNB, if I just leave them won't they become unusable with the weather?? or should the LNB come with caps on each of the 8 ends??

If not, apply pvc/self- amalgamating tape and pull the cover down on the LNB. All explained when you receive it.

My System: Triax 1.1m and Orbital 80cm Motorised Dishes. Various fixed Dishes. Eclectic selection of Digital and Analogue Receivers. Complex switching and distribution that SWMBO cannot fathom. Nor me. | Their should be a pull-down weather shield which provides a good deal of protection. I can't remember whether my multi-output LNBs all came with those little plastic caps as well, but wherever I got them from, I've acquired a goodly supply over the years! You could fit those as well, but I very much doubt they'd be needed as long as you remember to deploy the weather shield.
