Two Dishes one reciver How to connect

Please let me say what a fine forum this is and I am hoping for some good help for a newbie. First off what I am trying to acheive is to be able to operate two satellites through on receiver. My setup is as follows. A 1m movable dish and a zone 2 S*y dish pointing at 28 east, my receiver is a DM800HD. I have tried placing a 2x1 disqec switch between the reciver and motor but the motor would not move on command with this setup also I have placed the switch between the motor and LNB and again not switching. Are the switches bad? or is my setup wrong was thinking of getting a Spaun switch to see if that would help. Thanks in advance for helping a newbie.

My System: Pace Sky HD, DM7000s, CubeRevo 3000HDPVR, Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Televes H45 Digital Spectrum analyser.

Put the Diseqc Switch between the motor and the LNB, with the B port for the minidish. There are a couple of threads describing this from a while back. Then for all satellites apart from Astra 28,2, allocate motorised, but for Astra 28.2, allocate port B DiSEqC.

Hi Rolfw thanks for your quick reply, sorry if I seem dum but what settings should I use on my receiver which is a DM800. At the moment I believe the installer set it at positioner, are you saying I should alter this to something else has I believe he said the motor would not move if set to anything else or is he giving me some duff info.

You need top take Astra 28.2 out of the positioner list and set it to DiSEqC 1.0, port B. Unfortunately I no longer have a Dreambox connected, so can't help with the exact settings.
