hi

looks like they are all located at the same place.
all the sats are at 7 west so one dish will be fine.
check with your dealers and see what size they are using in the area.
from the looks of lynsat 60 cm should be ok but i would check and probally 80 cm will be grate if you have a rainy season.

if you have never installed a sate system and have no equipment it will take you a long time to align the system.
if other people are pointed to 7 west then your dish should be in the same direction.
the lnb bottom were the cable is connected should be pointed to the 7 oclock possission.

hope this helps

AB4 is actually at 7.2W, not that it really matters, as you are on footprint so only a small dish is needed and will pick both up at the same time.

nilesat

hello again,
what channels are you not picking up??
if you have a free to air box it will pick only free channels.
there is shotime package that you would not pick up unless you have a decoder and are paying for a service.
if it has been years since you went to a search on the box asnd somethings may have changed as well.
if you are trying to pickup clear free channels there should be no problem.
if we know what channels you could not pick up it would be easer.
you may have to add channels as well.
try a manual search by adding the frequency, symbol rate and polerzation.
then it should pick up that package.
if you tell us what some of the chasnnels you can not pick up it would be easer to figure out.
try erasing all and do a new rearch for nilesat.

Yes could be that it needs to be slightly bigger, here's the footprint

_http://www.lyngsat-maps.com/maps/ab4a.html

How accurate it is, who knows, but its an indication, local knowledge needed really, as I can only just get some Tps with a 1.8m in the UK

A 1.2m dish for example, should still pick up two sats that are 0.2 degrees apart simultaneously, as the dish beamwidth is about 1.5 degrees.

I cant count all the channels, but some of the channels which I cant get:

Melody Trix
Rotana Tarab
Rotana Clip
Toyoor Al Jannah

even with the manual search i couldnt get them, well about Melody Trix lets say, i been to lot of people who got nilesat but they dont get it as well, but I find it mostly at the cafes, which makes me feel there is a hardware setup for the AB4 different than Nilesat.. what do u think?

those channels are free

Ya robbo, I feel its the size of the dish, i'll get a bigger one and try since there is .2 degree difference.

Yep, there is no difference receiver wise, as I have been able to watch a few channels from AB4 from 12399H, that seemed to be stronger.

By the way, Rotana clip is on a Nilesat vertical, you should be getting that.

It is possible that your receiver does not have the required frequencies in its "memory". Depending on your receiver you may be able to do either a network search, NIT seach or a blind scan. This may help. If not then try adding the frequencies using manual search and a website like lyngsat.com.

Happy Hunting
