Hi to all. I recently bought and installed a Moteck sg2100a. It was working ok until last night. The green light on the motor does not come on so I cannot communicate with the motor. Is this a problem with the motor? Should I check something from your experience?

My System: Triax 1.1m and Orbital 80cm Motorised Dishes. Various fixed Dishes. Eclectic selection of Digital and Analogue Receivers. Complex switching and distribution that SWMBO cannot fathom. Nor me. | Check the F connectors - if you haven't routed them carefully, one or both might have become loose or got snagged on clamp bolts. Also check your Receiver settings haven't become corrupted for some reason. Can you tell us what type and size of Dish you are using and what Receiver you have?

My System: hotbird adsl | Thanks friend tivu for your immediate response. Well to be honest I did not have much time to do some troubleshooting. I only checked the F connectors at the Lnb Input and Receiver Input of the Motor. They seem ok. Nothing in their way. I am using a 100cm aluminium dish with an Envision Receiver (cheap one).

My System: Zone1, DSI8215 SkyHD, Thomson DSI4214, TF5000CI, Dreambox DM800 HD PVR - Nab BH0.12, TM-5200D, Gibertini 104cm, SNH-031, 36v Actuator, Vbox-II, 42°E to 30°W, Sling Media, Televes H45 Digital Processing Analyser, Satlook Micro+G2 NIT, Rover SDM 1s | Are you getting a picture on the parked satellite? There is also a hard reset on those motors but you need power to it of course.

My System: hotbird adsl | Unfortunately no picture. I took the receiver together with a tv up on the roof to check. When I connect the moteck to my receiver then the green light came on but when i tried to connect the lnb to the moteck the green light was going off.

Nor me. | Sounds like there is a short circuit on the cable from the Motor to the LNB, and/or the LNB has failed. Repair and replace - though it could be as simple as the centre core of the cable being displaced (at either end ) when you attached it, thus missing the small central hole in the socket and shorting instead to the screen. Check carefully ..............
