Andrews with V box maybe for Triple dragon?

I have myself a 1.2 Mtr Andrews dish

I thought this would hook up with my Fortec stab motor but it seems not.

The pole width on this Channel Master is a monster, I have never seen a dish with such a wide diameter pole...

I have this lovely dish & want to hook it up to my Triple Dragon which uses the coax for it's power not a seperate power cable, I have been told about a v box but I would like some info on how it would work.

1.
Would a coax come out of my TD & go to the V box & then a power cable to the dish motor pictured ?
2.
Would I still just enter my long/lat & this dish is set up for me or would I have the nightmare of finding the satellites myself?
3.
I have a Triax 1 mtr up at the moment would I see a significant boost in signal or would it not be enough to warrant all the messing?

I hope someone in the know can advise me on this please?

1. LNB coax lead - TD to vbox, then vBox to LNB
2. Four cables from vBox to motor - two at 36v for the motor, two for the sensor
3. By definition the vBox is not compatible with ASALS. Each satellite is set manually.
4. You should get an improvement vs the 1m dish, only you can decide if it is worth it.

There are many people looking for these Channel Master dishes at a fair price. Sell it if you are not sure.

Thanks guys, I want to try it but I don't like the idea of setting all the sats by hand

@Paul "Not seen a jack fitted that way before to a CM polar mount" is that a good or bad thing

My System: andrews dish - jaeger 1224 motor, vantage x221tsci, skystar 2, diablo v2.3, cyfra+

the pole mount is only 3inch so its not a big problem.

the dish will be loads better than the triax 1m you have now.

when i installed my channel master dish i found it to be straight forward and works much better than a diseqc motor.

yes they have bolted the actuator motor the wrong way around, the part where you connect the 4 core cable should be on the right

maybe use the dish as a fixed one on a satellite you like to view most ?
