Monterey 40

Hi
I have a Monterey 40 that I havnt used for a while, it has built in Dmac etc. The dish is still on the wall but not connected to the reciever. Is this set up worth salvaging or cant you do much with them anymore. What would I need to do to go motorised again. I also have sky digital.
Thanks
Mark

My System: Sky+, DB 7000s, Gemini 4.3 in flash, Var on USB stick. Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Unaohm EP313, Swires Annie 204 Spectrum, Rover ST-4 Spectrum.

Hi Mark, there's still quite a bit out there in analogue, particularly on 19.2 E, but if you want to go digital, then a digital receiver with a proper positioner (Not DiseqC), or a DiseqC receiver and a DiseqC to 3 wire converter will work.

Another option is to use the Chaparral, but with a twin LNb feeding also a digital receiver, the Sky box is not very successful with this type of setup though.
