My System: Fibo 90cm-Maybe the only one in Japan!!! | Did you order your LNB from SMW's website? I see you your getting birds clearly out of footprint in Sweden. with the Fibo, according to my understanding is you would need 150~180cm for some of those satellites. Does anybody you happen to have Agila2 KU enhanced footprint handy from the Tele-Sat CD I want to see if there is anyway possible to pick this bird. My problem remains the same, to get this satellite. Agila2 is one of my Sourthern most satellites @ 146E, Yokohama is @ Lat 139E, but Its drown out by Superbird C @ 144E. If the SMW would work I would be more than happy to buy it. I

| I used to work as a broadcast engineer at Teleports travelling around the world, mainly the U.S and Latin America with my own company 15 years ago so i was dealing pretty much with SMW and other professional equipment.

| I have a 90cm fibo gregorian complete but with a burnt out optical sensor, recent cogs, good motor etc, includes lnb, best of all it is free to a good home providing you collect it. It is near Hastings in East Sussex. Please note that you can`t use it with a v-box as it needs a 5v supply for the sensor unless you can figure out a way of using a relay so that a seperate 5v supply is used only when the dish is turning, { that is how I managed to blow the sensor]. I`m sure that with a little inginuity that the sensor can be repaired, So if it is of any use, First come first served as they say. Regards Saabtech. | ||

I do not know what it would cost to fix, but it is a small circuit board with some resistors,so I assume that it could be fixed but i am not up on electronics so asking me is a bit like asking a pig for the time! I simply do not have the time to get involved with shipping and I do not have any suitable packing so it does need to be collected, So, sorry, Saabtech.

| Never heard of them, i never tried C-band on this dish, it would be tough to install C-band onto this dish as it's made for Ku-band.

| You want to know who makes the old Kathrein prime-focus dishes? It's Precision Antennas in the U.K and they are still available but you have to buy it from Precision.

| Kathrein dishes are good because they follow the best design concept on the old prime-focus antennas, the have no bolts thru the reflector, the steel ring is welded to the back of the reflector which makes the parabolic shape perfect. There is a manufacturer in Finland who follows the same concept, they fast the mount to the edge of the reflector which have no impact on the reflector, that is two of the best designs i know about. Usually they put bolts right thru the reflector, one classic and very bad example are the Triax dishes, they have made a big hole for the feedarm, how stupid isn't that? You should never touch the reflector as it can warp and other things over time. | ||

| Don't know anything about prices. You have to contact them directly for importing to Japan. They are shipped in a wooden crate for protection. | ||
