Why a Gregorian?

The cost over a standard dish is unlikely to be worth the improvement

I dont know of any decent ones out there , stay clear of Spanish ones

There is a very fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness"

A U.K dealer recently sold his 120cm Fibo dish last week for £350, it was used.

They aren't made anymore since 8 years back or so....

My System: Fibo 90cm-Maybe the only one in Japan!!!

Thanks CH,

My understading is that a 90cm equates to a ~110 (Likvid mentioned it I think), So a 120cm would equate to roughly a ~140/145??, reasoning being is I live in a apartment and the Biggest I could get away with would be a 120 MAX.

I bought my Fibo 90cm from Satmueller a year ago or something for that price.

Forget the Fibo H-H mount, it's useless, i hate it.

Buy it with the AZ/EL mount instead and then buy a Moteck 2100 motor or even a Jaeger 36Volt motor if you want that instead.

I don't know anyone selling their 120cm, they are very sought after in the market and Fibo never produced many.

Reason i bought the Fibo was because i couldn't have anything bigger on my balcony, otherwise i would have bought a Channel Master 1.2m dish for over half the price and get better performance.

Read my thread about the Jaeger SMR-99G mount i bought to the Fibo, it works perfect.

You should receive these channels at your location and the Fibo 90cm dish.

http://pal.pp.se/~kalle/satcodx.html

Agila 2 says a 2 meter dish is required at your location.

Here is a picture of the 120cm also....

Fibo is great, high quality.

I can't get a better dish right now in my situation, i can get from NSS7 at 57 East to Intelsat 801 at 31.5W.

I receive even weak analogue signals from Arabsat 2B at 30.5 East with my low threshold extension set to max, comes in at 1-1.5dB C/N approx.

Thats incredible!!! In your current situation, how would a 120 prodelin or the like compair?

I can go as high as a 120 in my apartment, What would you recommend for me, my guess is I could get the most gain out of a FIBO or cassegrain, money is not necessarly an object currently, unless it just outrageous

Andrew Type 120 is the dish of your choice if i was in your position and couldn't get a Gregorian Fibo 120cm.

My dish is comparable to a Triax 110.

Yeah it's Patriot, don't know how it performs, doesn't seem like the high build quality of Fibo.

Reason I asked is Patriot has various sizes for these dishes, under there tx/rx antennas...I searched the forums and patriot really have a bad rep. on her...or any forum for that matter...unlike Jonsa for Fortecstar.

They have these in 1m and 1.2 georgian "style" not sure if its a true or not. It may be an alternative for somebody that would need one.

Likvid Do you know if they make a cassegrain at 120?

No.

40.9dBi is a bit optimistic, i would say about 40.3dBi or something.

Also would like to throw Katherin into the mix, Does anybody have any experience???

http://www.kathrein.de/en/sat/produc...ad/cas_018.pdf

Decent Specs also:
Gain
10.70~11.70 = 41.5
11.70~12.50 = 42.15
12.50~12.75 = 42.5

The Fibo 120 gets
Gain @ 11.7 = 42.4Dbi

Looks like the fibo is a touch better, but unavaliable.

That's the CAS120 Offset dish, very good dish, probably the best 120cm on the market but it will cost you a arm and a leg.

The dish goes for around 400 euro and the AZ/EL mount for around 300 euro.

Just look at the build quality, it's amazing, it's commercial quality and you get what you pay for.
