Thomson Digibox

Just messing about with my old thomson sky digibox and realised that my matrix cam fitted snugly in the slot in the back, my question is therefore can i use this to watch tps on hotbird, or will it just blow up my matrix cam.
thanks adam

My System: Sky+, DB 7000s, Gemini 4.3 in flash, Var on USB stick. Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Unaohm EP313, Swires Annie 204 Spectrum, Rover ST-4 Spectrum.

Won't do anything with regard to watching TPS as the slot doesn't work.

Presumably it is connected and is just part if the software that stops it from working

Yes I would think that it is connected, although it is probably not being prevented from working by the software, more likely that there is no software there for it.

My System: Various digiboxes, broken Nokia 9800S, numerous analogue boxes. My lovely little lappy, HP Omnibook 6100

I've seen it written somewhere that although physically it's a CI slot, electrically it isn't so possibly it my even damage your Cam.
