No probs, it's one of those where it's difficult to know where to look for it.

Gaining access to Free-XTV wont improve your eyesight

Apparently the late nights are bad for short-term memory.

Have a look into the cards and programmers forum Doggy, loads on information there and it really isn't rocket science. All you need is a programmer (Elvis is good) and whatever smartcard goes with your CAM.

doggy, rolfw is right its not rocket science best thing to do is have a read at the posts on the forum about programmers, cards files to use and after a bit it will all make sense and if in doubt the good people here will always point you in the right direction.

We all started somewhere

My System: Dreambox 7000S + motorised 80cm dish, Amstrad DRX550 Digibox + fixed dish

I wonder if Free-X are that bothered about being hacked. From what I read in a French satellite magazine, the broadcast rights for their programming cost peanuts. Their business model is based on the profits from advertising dodgy telephone services and rather than from selling subscriptions, so the more viewers the merrier.

It would be interesting to know how much they make on every Skycrypt cam sold but it can't be very much when they're being offered at €100 each on the continent.

If one has already paid for the subscription to view, (or managed by some means to receive the content without subscription), what purpose would phoning the premium rate numbers be ?

Are there people out there with money to burn ?

thanks rolf. i was wondering how long my card would last. is it possible for the programmer to put a time limit on your card causing it to cut out earlier? that would increase the return trade of the shop

Most of them aren't capable of doing that, they simply copy the latest codes off the net.
