My System: FTE 420 SM | Hi there! I want to add an antena with 80 cm to get Astra, but I need to put it on a closed balcony. Is there any members with this same situation who can tell me about options about how to fix the antena using some kind of tripod or floor stand? The ones I found online are quite expensive, from 50 Euros and up..! Thanks in advance! Last edited by file; 12-06-2006 at 05:21 AM

| What type of balcony ? If there are railings it may be possible to clamp a post to them, if the walls of the balcony are solid, you could use a standard wall bracket. Ground stands are less common than wall stands and so they are usually more expensive, I have had good results by cutting down a wall mount back behind the 90 degree bend and then using this on the floor.

Blog Entries: 3 My System: Sky+, DB 7000s, Gemini 4.3 in flash, Var on USB stick. Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Unaohm EP313, Swires Annie 204 Spectrum, Rover ST-4 Spectrum. | Several options here, the type with the square plate base can be bolted to a paving slab and further weighted with sand bags if required.

My System: 0.3dB Fortec Star lnb, 90cm Fortec Star dish, Silver Crest SL65 receiver, Stab HH90 motor... | My Fortec Star 90cm dish came with a wall bracket (that I'm not using) which also doubles as a patio tripod if you turn the centre pole section the other way when it's bolted together.
