![]() | Yes, I've seen a set up that has had 10-12 LNB's on one dish. You point your dish at the weakest of the satellites and fix the second LNB to pick up the stronger signal, it takes a little time getting it spot on, then you fit a Diseqc switch to alternate via your receiver.

My System: Technosat 7765 Pace Digibox Disecq Switch Lenson 80cm Dish Two Universal LNB's | I have a question that is simillar to this one if I may add it here. All of the dual LNB brackets I have seen state they are for either 19E and 13E or 19E and 28E but I have not seen any that are 28E and 13E. Basically I want to recieve sky digital and Hotbird. I get the general principal about the dual LNB etc but is it possible to recieve sky digital and Hotbird on the one dish andn would I point the dish at 28E and then use the offset arm for 13E or the other way around. My system details are: Technosat 7655 2VA, Lenson 80cm dish, two LNB's, a Lenson offset arm for this dish and a Pace sky digital box, oh and also a DisecQ switch. Thanks in advance, probably better to be armed with the info before I go up the ladder.

My System: Pace 2200 Sky digibox with ftv card, Comag SL65 FTA sat receiver, 40cm Sky minidish, Setpal terrestrial receiver (for free uk tv only!). | The bset signal is received at the dish's "focus point", and there's only room to put one lnb in that exact position! As you go further off-focus, the signal gets weaker (due to partial field cancellation from from out-of-phase radio waves), and then you need a larger dish to compensate for the reduced strength. The brackets that allow multiple lnbs to be mounted on a single large dish are ok for receiving satellites 10-20 degrees off the main dish axis, but more than that and the signal gets very much weaker, so generally it's not worth bothering. A diseqc motor shouldn't be that much more expensive than several lnbs and diseqc switches, although of course it all depends on your particular circumstances ......

My System: Technosat 7765 Pace Digibox Disecq Switch Lenson 80cm Dish Two Universal LNB's | Thanks for the info Spiney. I guess the difference between sky digital at 28°E and Hotbird at 13°E is about 15° so thats bang inbetween your 10°-20° suggested limit. I only want to receive these two satellites and having already had a motorised system that never really got used I dont see the point of installing another. Its not the cost just the hassle considering I will only flip between two sat's. The question I really asked was do I point the centre (prime) LNB at 28°E or 13°E as I have no idea which signal is stronger. I always thought they were about the same when receiving them in the UK anyway. As I say I have not actually started this yet, I put the dish up yesterday and found 28°E easily but the second LNB was faulty so I am getting it replaced today and embarking on the second LNB setup this afternoon.

Blog Entries: 3 My System: Sky+, DB 7000s, Gemini 4.3 in flash, Var on USB stick. Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Unaohm EP313, Swires Annie 204 Spectrum, Rover ST-4 Spectrum. | Point your dish at 13 East if you are using a single side offset bracket, if you are using a Triax dish with the triax 2 LNB bracket, the dish points somewhere between. Below is a 70cm Raven Gemini with Eastern satellites offset Bracket, to receive Hotbird, Astra 19.2 and Astra 28.2.

I have to Lbn in the same disk. One for Hotbird and another to Astra. You need to buy a adapter for two Lnb. This kind of situation it's used to receive two satelites that are located very near.

My System: Technosat 7765 Pace Digibox Disecq Switch Lenson 80cm Dish Two Universal LNB's | Well after a few hours up and down my ladder with my meter I can get Hotbird at 13°E and I can get Sky at 28°E but not together no matter what the meter says the digibox will not lock on to the Sky signal for any money when set up on the second LNB bracket. I cant be rsed with it any more so I have called the local sat shop and they will do it.

My System: Technosat 7765 Pace Digibox Disecq Switch Lenson 80cm Dish Two Universal LNB's | Just thought I would update that the satellite guy turned out and it appears there was nothing wrong with my install but Brymar sent me a dodgy DisecQ switch that only switches when it feels like it. Phew....
