Where did you get your large dish from?

Hi to everyone else out there who doesn't think I'm weird for spending hours seearching for satellite cahnnels.

As I am currently stuck with a 70 - 80 cm dish that has been dropped too many times and is now fairly dented I thought that I might invest in a new dish (and perhaps receiver). Lots of you on this forum have dishes over 1m, and as the satellite dish market in the uk is dominated by sky, I was wondering where the best place is to get a large dish considering that I live in the West Midlands. Obviously, I'd rather go and collect one than pay a large postage fee on Ebay !

So, any suggestions where I can get a reasonably cheap, large dish?

Thanks, David

There is a place in Bristol that does Gibertini dishes up tp 150cm, they are currently out of the 125cm ones but it migh be worth a phonecall.

Thanks for the site

1.2m seems good value, but there's always that huge jump in price for the extra 30cm

I was wondering whether you could just add that on yourself if its a circular dish using some kind of foil or something

I was hoping for over 1.2m

There are a few Channel master 1.2m dishes available second hand around, but as you say, there is a huge premium for quality dishes over 1m.

Try putting a wanted advert in our classified section. I know we have a couple of members with larger dishes they want to dispose of.

You've got just over an hour to get THIS 120cm Channelmaster with polarmount and actuator, currently for £25.

I know nothing about the seller.

Great idea - I hadn't found that yet

The Ebay dish would be nice - but chatham is a bit far

To be more specific I was hoping to get 10 & 7 E - I have a very weak signal due to impeeding buildings

If you have buildings in the way, then a bigger dish is not going to help much, you must have a clear line of sight, so you need to raise your existing dish..
