My System: technomate d-1000 super receiver for free-to-air channels
scrambled signal on free-to-air

Hi all,

Recently registered to this website.

Was wondering if anyone could help?

We recently installed a technomate d-1000 super receiver (including satellite, lnb, etc...) specific for watching free-to-air Italian channels.

So far so good. We are pointing towards the hotbird satellite receiving many channels across Europe. We have filtered out the main Italian channels such rai uno, due, tre; retequattro, canal 5 & italia uno.

These are all supposedly all free-to-air channels, however sometimes the channel is scrambled i.e. when the footy is on rai uno, and I do not understand why?

I have no clues about satellites. The guy that installed the system was paid in cash...no questions asked. He is uncontactable...funny that!!

I would appreciate some more information; whether it be a resolve or confirmation that this issue is quite common with respect to our configuration.

many thanks
marcus

My System: Pace Sky HD, DM7000s, CubeRevo 3000HDPVR, Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Televes H45 Digital Spectrum analyser.

They scramble when they show programmes for which they only have Italian national copyright.
