My System: Technomate TMS-1500 CI+ "patched" receiver, 90cm p/f 36v motorised dish, Inverto C120 0.3db LNB, Moteck V-Box 2, Packard Bell 6052 XP Home computer, Toshiba A60 laptop, and lots of Russian Vodka !
Technomate East - West Limits

I'm fitting a motorised system (Stab HH120) for a friend and everything went fine till it came to setting the east-west limits.

He has the same receiver as me (Technomate 1500) and with mine I didn't need to set the electrical limits in the receiver as I had already set the mechanical limits on the actuator.

But when I tried to set his limits on the receiver I managed to set the east limit but couldn't set the west limit.

Can anyone with a 1000 series tell me how they did there's.

Thanks
Rob

My System: Sky+, DB 7000s, Gemini 4.3 in flash, Var on USB stick. Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Unaohm EP313, Swires Annie 204 Spectrum, Rover ST-4 Spectrum.

Only ever set up one of those motors and didn't need to set the limits, so can't help I'm afraid Rob.

Set the limit on a 1500 with a Moteck fine though, worked first time.

Do you remember how, as it's the receiver settings that I'm after.

From memory, send it to your furthest East satellite and then go into motor setup and select set Eastern limit.

I've got that far but it will not set the western limit.

I have no idea then I'm afraid rob, if it will set one but not the other, I can only assume that it's a software glitch.

Cheers Rolf, mind does seem a bit strange that with all the members with Technomate 1000 series receiver's and not one has an answer.

Am using DiSEqC 1.2 and the east limit is just past 42 east and the west limit should be just past 30 west.

As previously posted by rolfw, possible software issue/glitch.

If you have not done so, you could try the following;

Select Satellite setup, Auto search, scroll to DiSEqC 1.2, select, scroll to (motor control)
select go to reference (centre point) first Satellite position you have stored, due south, (pos. 00) Fine tune for best quality signal.

(This action resets the motor counter & all satellite positions may have to be re-aligned,
so you will need to check all stored satellite positions).

If signal/quality ok, select save. Scroll to limit, select & scroll to delete limit, Select ok, exit to previous screen..

Select satellite, scroll to sat position east you want to save as east limit, select ok.
Retune if required, enter motor menu, select as East Limit save, & repeat this proceedure for west limit.

If this fails to set limits. it must be a software issue.

If receiver is patched, undo/delete patch using 2004 ( Admin not sure if this part allowed, please delete if breaking rules)

Go to (pos. 00. best quality signal) and do a factory reset.

If only I had known you were a Fulham supporter!!!! (just kidding)

One of my mates is a Fulham supporter & his wife supports Watford.
He has two sons, one Chelsea, the other Man U. Bedlam on match days.

I watched that game last night, alas, its the same old story (unlucky) 2.0 up.
As you say, lucky, we could have lost it, we need to improve, otherwise!....

You are welcome Rob, fingers crossed, you could also try "USALS"
