repositioning of dish, a problem

I need to remove my old mum's sky mini dish (grundig) and reposition at a different location within in her sheltered accomodation. I have bought a sat finder meter to help me achieve the job. having fixed the dish to an outside wall
I connected up the meter between the LNB and the setop box but try as I may I could not get any reading or buzz from the meter (which works) could this mean that the LNB is faulty. when I connect the meter and ajust the gain control the meter lights up and buzzes according to the setting.

My System: Sky+, DB 7000s, Gemini 4.3 in flash, Var on USB stick. Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Unaohm EP313, Swires Annie 204 Spectrum, Rover ST-4 Spectrum.

Was the LNB working before the move, I know thia may sound a little simplistic, but are you sure that you have line of sight to the satellite in the new position?
