My System: Sky UK. FTA analogue & digital satellite from 5 fixed dishes (5E/7E/9E/13E/16E /19E/23E/28E) Pace MSS100, Echostar IP3000VA, Technomate TM-1000D, Dreambox 7020S

Not without a dish likely to be in the 5m diameter sort of size.

She has a tight spot beams into the Mediterranean

A really really good 3mtr might do it on the south coast.
Pretty sure though.

The Amos 2 transmission footprint is completely different to that of Amos 1. She has a western European spotbeam for starters - which is what you are seeing.

If you want to watch Amos 1 channels on a sensible sized dish you need to move about 1500 miles southeast-wards

1500 miles would be a little too much. Up to Paris a 1.20m Offset well aligned gets almost all from both satellites. Here at my location in Stuttgart i can get some Amos 1 (stronger) and Amos 2 transponders from the Hungary beams on a 65cm Gibertini but hard on the limit and often even below. Here a 90cm should do the job. Further east in Munich a 80cm is more than enough and in Vienna you can get anything on a 45cm dish. The Israel beams are another story. Even in northern Greece you will need 1.80m for Amos 2 and Amos 1 can be received roughly down to Rodos with that size. Though analogue reception with very huge dishes 3m+ is possible up to Slovakia: http://web2.dxsatcs.66.sk/php66/index.php?str=47

My System: Dbox + Skystar2, 2.2m Kinhuge Dish with Inverto LNB and Invacom ADF-120 feedhorn. Pace 1.3.25 and 80cm for Sky.

1+1 on 10723 H is the strongest signal here (67% on the SS2). Noll TV on 11435 H is perfectly watchable (even at 29%). Signal strenth in East Anglia should be similar to what I get here. Looks like the signal soon tails off though.

There you go t_dogg87. As long as you dont want to watch anything on the Israel spot beam, you have a chance with one of the bigger hobby dishes. If you want the Israel spot beam I stand by my prediction of 5m +

4.5m in most western part of Austria gave a very noisy picture on the Amos 2 Israel beam as somebody from there told me some time ago, so i rather think a 10m could do the job. No honestly, in this case i would recommend a slingbox and somebody inside the Mideast beam who gets them very easily both (from Amos 1+2). That needn't be Israel but also in Cyprus or Egypt you can receive all with max 80cm. The major problem is the upstream which is very expensive at the moment. But i suppose remote control of a Yes box should work.

By the way, there is another possibiliy: http://www.seeisrael.tv/
An IPTV solution which you can try for free 3 days.
