Damaged Dish

Just taken delivery of a new 90cm dish, external lip of dish has taken some minor damage in transit also minor damage to centre of dish.

Is it best to try dish and see if all is ok rather than get replacement dish(cannot believe any dish will not suffer some damage in transit).

I would be inclined to return it.

I agree with rolfw, send it back, if it was bought brand new, it should arrive brand new!!!

Was it a certain green & yellow vanned delivery company (Rhymes with wittystink) by any chance?

Yes, everything that is brand new, should be delivered in pristene condition...

That company is notorious for literally throwing the packages around, once a computer came back to where I work as it had been seriously damaged in transit, the CPU heatsink had literally broken off and smashed up the insides, all because "that" delivery company doesn't take care with it's customer's packages...

I have bought two new dishes and both arrived in perfect condition. They should be returned if damaged otherwise the sat company wouldn't know if their courier is throwing them around. And you have paid for a new dish not one that's battered.

My System: 1,25m Fixed offset; Quad LNB's; 2 x Edision 2100; 13ºE; 19.2ºE; 28.2/28.5ºE

and if they have dents, there is a chance that the paint is cracked or scraped. this makes it a lot easyer to rust. return it.
