My System: Zehnder DR600 digital receiver, 90cm Amstrad dish and one MTI Blue Line 0,2db LNB.
Need help configuring the reciever. For example; Symbol rate?

Hello,
I'm trying to setup my reciever to recieve channels from Eurobird 1.

When I want to setup the satelitte I must write in Frequency, Symbol rate, Polarisation, 22Khz? and transponder.

1. What is the symbol rate and how do I find it?
2. Do I have to setup different satelittes for each frequency (Eurobird 1 at 28.5°E - LyngSat) as for example 11390 V to just get the channels with that frequency and then another satelitte/setting to get the channels at 12523 V?
3. What does the 22khz mean?
4. What do they mean with transponder?

There is a different guide for finding channels but is that just within the frequency I've written in or is there any other frequency for the whole satelitte?

I've tried to find answers to this but I havn't succeeded so if you know any good guide please post it here as well.

Best Regards
Oskar R

My System: Sky+, DB 7000s, Gemini 4.3 in flash, Var on USB stick. Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Unaohm EP313, Swires Annie 204 Spectrum, Rover ST-4 Spectrum.

Is this a digital receiver? You say analogue in your profile.

Most digital receivers have a transponder list for each satellite and all you normally have to do is set it to do a satellite scan.

If you set the receiver to default settings, then it will normally be correct, all you have to do is select the satellite you want to watch.

Hello,
My profile is changed, the problem is that my reciever does not include Eurobird 1 in it's default settings.

Try the Astra 2 at 28.2 satellite, it is co located and should include Eurobird.

Hello,
OK, Astra 28.2 was included. What do you mean with that it will include Eurobird 1? Have Eurobird 1 replaced Astra 28.2 or how can Eurobird be included in Astra 28.2?

I don't mean to question your answer, I'm sure it's correct, I just want to know how it can be like that.

Best Regards

They are all sat together at pretty much the same position on the Clarke Belt, so can be viewed with one dish. This page shows them all together.
