My System: 1.2m dish and lg decoder
Newbie needs advice

Hi all.

I have just purchased a second hand 1.2m Channel Master dish, from a friend, but he has dumped the manhattan starlight decoded.

He told me that I will have to buy a new decoder with a built in positioner, to move the dish.
Can anyone point me in the right direction on what decoder I will need,
to get up and running.

Cheers.

Does it have a 36v or DiSEqC motor/actuator?

My System: 1.2M & 55cm Gregorian Dish`s, 1.5m Gibertini on a Jaeger 1224 H-H motor. Dreambox 7025 200gb HD, Vbox-II. SS2 Card.

I would have thought he was using 36v actuator, as a disec motor would be too small for a c/m 1.2m

If thats the case your going to need a stb with a 36v positioner.

That's what I was thinking, a TM1500 with a VboxII in there should be ok shouldn't it?

Ye any disec stb would be ok with a V-boxII

Thanks guys.

The dish has a DiSEqC motor/actuator fitted, but I can easily change that.
Not long to pay day so i will get the stuff ordered up, and then have a go at setting it up.

Thanks to all for the advice.

My System: 1.2m motorised qualitv decoder manhatten blind search decoder echostar 3600ip

I would try to get your hands on an echostar 3600 along with a polarmount and an actuator about 18 in depending on what you want to view satwise
