My System: My system has a 3.1 metre mesh dish, Egis positioner, Chaparral Corotor II Ku wideband LNB (LO 9750/10750 and 14/18 volt for band switching), C-band LNB (LO 5150).
Question LNB settings with Manhattan Plaza ST-450 with Corotor ?

Hello friends,

This is my 1st post here!

I bought a new Plaza 450, it seems a very good box but it has a BIG problem that I hope you can solve.
My system has a 3.1 metre mesh dish, Egis positioner, Chaparral Corotor II,
Ku wideband LNB (LO 9750/10750 and 14/18 volt for band switching), C-band LNB (LO 5150).
I configured 6 LNB like this: LNB1 wide 14V skew on, LNB2 wide 14V skew on, LNB3 wide 18V skew on, LNB4 wide 18V skew on, LNB5 and 6 for C band using 0/12 volt external switch. In Channel Search menu I use LNB1 for vertical polarity in low band, 2 horizontal low, 3 vertical high, 4 horizontal high.
Recalling any transponder manually it seems all OK; I have strong signals
and I can fine tuning skew position, but performing a transponder scan
(search mode on "manual All") my decoder doesn't load any channel. After
many tests I discovered this: when you are in Channel Search menu LNB is
correctly controlled, but when you start searching my Plaza uses 14/18 Volt for polarisation and not for band switching!!
For example: I want perform manual scan on transponder at 11,526 GHz
horizontal at 13 degrees East (swiss transponder); I enter in Channel
Search menu, select transponder, LNB2, mode = manual all.... I tune skew
position and I have strong signal because my LNB is correctly supplied (13
volt, low band); as soon as scanning starts, Plaza switches immediately at
18 volt for horizontal polarisation, but LNB goes in high band!!! And any
channels are found.........
In other hands, first step is OK but you have no chance to load correctly
any channels! And it seems not possible using blind scan, too!!
So, you can understand it's a BIG problem for me, but I believe little
problem for you..... I think that a firmware upgrade could solve the problem.
As I said, Plaza is a very high quality decoder and it's really a pity that
a similar disadvantage occurred!! Can you please support me looking for a
possible solution? I can't replace my LNB because, as I said, I have
Corotor II for C and Ku band, so I believe that new firmware is the unique
choice.
My receiver is now unusable!

Antenna Settings for Ku band:

LNB 1
LNB Type Wide
LNB Power 14V Skew On
22KHz Tone Off
DiSEqC Off
12V Off
User Band Auto

LNB 2
LNB Type Wide
LNB Power 14V Skew On
22KHz Tone Off
DiSEqC Off
12V Off
User Band Auto

LNB 3
LNB Type Wide
LNB Power 18V Skew On
22KHz Tone Off
DiSEqC Off
12V Off
User Band Auto

LNB 4
LNB Type Wide
LNB Power 18V Skew On
22KHz Tone Off
DiSEqC Off
12V Off
User Band Auto

I tried to contact Manhattan office but I never had a reply.
The support is very poor!
I have an Echostar DVR-7000 and everything worked fine BUT I didn't have a Blind Scan !!!
Anybody here found a solution ?

THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOUR SUPPORT !!!!
