Triax TDS 88cm - steel or aluminium for diseqc motor?

My System: dreambox 7000s w/160 Gb hdd superjack dg120 diseqc motor lidl 80cm dish and lnb
Triax TDS 88cm - steel or aluminium for diseqc motor?

buying parts for a friend to set up a motorised system. going to use a moteck sg2100a and wondering is there much weight difference between the steel and aluminium triax tds 88cm dishes and would the steel dish be ok with the motor,. the aluminium version is about 55 euro while steel one is 30 euro. cheers

My System: Sky+, DB 7000s, Gemini 4.3 in flash, Var on USB stick. Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Unaohm EP313, Swires Annie 204 Spectrum, Rover ST-4 Spectrum.

The 88cm version is fine on the Moteck, there is a picture of one in a recent thread. http://www.satellites.co.uk/satellit...45-post51.html

My System: 90cm channel master, jaeger 1224 ,vantage x221tsci, skystar 2, diablo v2.3, setanta on 60cm minidish

i use a steel triax 88cm on a moteck motor and it works fine

not my system but an example of triax 88cm on moteck diseqc motor below

thats good to hear, cheers. by the way what do you think of the dish. i was going to use my old lidl 80cm dish which served me fine for a few years ,but hoping gain might me a bit better with slightly bigger dish.

Yes it will, the Triax 88cm is not bad and almost certainly better than the lidl 80cm.
