My System: 1.2M & 55cm Gregorian Dish`s, 1.5m Gibertini on a Jaeger 1224 H-H motor. Dreambox 7025 200gb HD, Vbox-II. SS2 Card.

Is it ground mounted or are you using T & K brackets on a wall?

If your using T & K`s then use a length of scaffolding pole, about 2" is fine.

using a wall mount bracket that came with the dish package its like a swans neck so it misses the overhang on the roof

maybe you wont need the pole? Cant you just bolt the polar mount to the "swan`s neck"?

My System: Smart lnb, 1m Gibby dish, Stab motor, TM5200D receiver, 57east to 61west. DTT from Sudbury. Virgin Media broadband.

Problem with that type of bracket (swan neck) for a motorised system is that it is liable to flex as the dish is moved from east to west. Hence you will not follow the arc correctly.
I think that you will find that wod has similar problems when he set up his motorised dish and now has T&K's with a pole between them.
