Hi

Is this a good quality dish?

Or is a Triax TD60 a better option?

My System: Sky+, DB 7000s, Gemini 4.3 in flash, Var on USB stick. Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Unaohm EP313, Swires Annie 204 Spectrum, Rover ST-4 Spectrum.

The Triax is much better built, they are pretty flimsy.

well call me stupid but I went for the Maplin, liked the retro amstrad look and the triax folding arm put me off, I could imagine it bouncing up and down in the wind

No, it is fixed with a retaining clip, I use loads of them and they are pretty good for that grade of dish and way more substantial in build and performance than the Fortecstar dishes. At the end of the day though, if it receives what you want to receive, then fine.
