Trial and error found the eastern sats, just a shame the house is in the way for the western ones. (need to move house i think)

Dish fell over and i've snapped the lnb holder on the end. Anyone know where i can get the lnb holder for a CM 1.2? that isn't £40?

Rgds

My System: Mostly gathering dust cos I'm a lazy git. Porty dish face blew off the mount, not too pleased...

Zip-ties work wonders for LNB clamps...

I have a zip-tie holding the clamp together on my salvaged 80cm dish, works a treat, and I'm sure analoguesat bodged up a clamp using a load of zip-ties...

If anyone has a Channel Master Polar mount, could they let me know what the numbers relate to on the back adjustment bolt, and where the reading is meant to take place. i.e. under the mount, at the top of the nut or above the washer under the bolt.

Not being able to see any west satellites makes it very hard to set the thing up and also not having an inclinometer is driving me round the bend.

Thanks

My System: Dreambox 7020, CM 1.2 with invacom quad c120 & channelmaster feedhorn.

I took the reading from the top of the nut. What instrument are you using the put it on the arc? As these polar mounts are tricky to set up because of the weight off the dish!

a semi bust Digisat Pro (doesn't allow picture through but finds the sats), but i've no docs as to the number the elevation should be. unless it's just that lat or long?

Whats yours at? for your location?

thanks

The mount was painted with hammerite and so was the scale on the threaded bar. Easiest way to set that up is to mount in the 'middle' and swivel the mount until you find 1 west and adjust the elavation accordinly.

Turns out the LNB was faulty which was causing me no end of grief.

Changed the LNB to a spare, when back to thor peaked the dish & elevation, other sat's came booming in.

Also turns out sat meter wasn't bust, as picture was coming through as well.

We live and learn i guess, thanks very much for your help.

PJ

PS, Loving the dreambox already.
