Monterey SCT Classic?

Hello. Anyone remember this, probably the best satellite receiver ever made! So, what would be todays Monterey SCT classic?

My System: Various digiboxes, broken Nokia 9800S, numerous analogue boxes. My lovely little lappy, HP Omnibook 6100

I certainly do remember it. It was always something to aspire to.

I have to say that IMHO there isn't anything equivalent nowadays.

I remember seeing a demo in a sat shop of the Monterey with the DVB card addon, and noticing something familiar in the menu for the digital section - it was a copy of that used in my li'l old RSD ODM300 box!

Maybe Mr. Chilver used a card based on that used in the ODM300?

Something to do with satellite security -

_www.encorenetworks.com/znm_prl_sat_comm_tech.htm

Won't get any keys from that site

I still have a couple of customers using the Cheyenne model as a positioner, the Monterey never could handle large dishes in standard trim.

Anyone remember this ?
