Dreambox Recorded *.ts files

Dreambox records channels content in the *.ts format (Transport Stream).

This format is rich in content and it has, as far as I know, all the video, audio and text streams that are transmitted from any specific channel.
For example, Euronews transmits a video picture and also audio in several languages (English, French, Portuguese, Spanish, Italian, etc.).
In addition it also transmits teletext in those languages.

To test, just record few minutes in English and then when you enter the file mode and play, you will discover that you can choose and hear the same content in any of the other languages.
Also, if you enter the teletext mode, you can read any of the menus in any other language that was transmitted at the time of the recordings.

This can help a great deal if you are trying to study a new language (Portuguese for example) and listen to the same recording, once in English and then in Portuguese or vice versa.
Also, you can read the news in English (Teletext mode) and then see the translation in Portuguese.

My System: I bet on red. If I lose, I double the bet on red again. I continue with this until I lost everything.

Muhuhuhahahahahaaaaarrrgggh

Yes, this is indeed so. I record a lot of stuff on Premiere, and watch the movie in English rather than the sill German dubbing they use.

P.S. Information like this is better posted in the general Dreambox section so everybody can see it, not just the 7000's

Hi T_G,

I usually submit posts after testing it on my receiver, in this case 7000S.
Putting in in the general section might be misleading the reader if he hasn't got the right hardware setup.

But if you think that it should be in the General Section, then please move it there since I don't have the priviliges to do so. Thank You.

My System: I do not own yet a equipment, but i want to buy one.

Hi all,
I have a question to make. When you record TS files can you later reveal ECM/EMMs packets?
