My System: Dreambox 500-s, 80cm Dish, 1.2 Compatible Motor

you using 500? so you have the 1 tuner.

For same channel you can conenct lnb out to the lnb in on second receiver.

You can also change the LNB for one with 2 outputs and feed to each box.

If you don't fancy doing that, one way is to use the cccam emulator and download the config file off the server, if you wasnt to know how to set this file up for viewing subcribed card on other box do an internet search, it is forbidden on this forum.

hope that has helped

The rules don't prohibit discussing how to setup card sharing:

Card Sharing. We are happy for you to discuss the techniques, but we do not allow soliciting for members or advertising card shares and do not recommend that anyone does so in open forum or news group. This rule is for your protection, not ours

Is it still considered card sharing if the guy only wants to use his own card on his own two box's?
The setting up is very different on your own local lan.
I am not trying to contradict anyone just want to clarify.

Its fine to discuss the mechanics of sharing. The absulute no-no is asking for or offering shares.

Therefore mentioning your "D: lines" or whatever the equivalent is on the other cams will get you a red card penalty.

You also need to consider that if the share setup involve gblox - many of the regulars voluntarily observe the unofficial ban on discussion of use of this emu, and wont get involved in help of any sort.

But going back to the original post then our friend forams needs to build a little trust first
Thank you for the clarification

Can someone please explain why that is the case. I have often wondered why this cam is treated like that.

Gbox was never meant to be publically released as such, it just got out, this is why there is very little in the way of updates etc etc..

Most forums will not talk about this emu out of the respect of the authors wishes. I have myself spoken about gbox in the past but now I only discuss it within a close circle of friends who have always used that emu

I use gbox for in house sharing between my Dreambox 7020 & my TM9100 and it works very well indeed

As nano says gblox was a private emulator that got out into the public domain. The release notes with the emu specifically ask that it isnt discussed on public forums and many of members voluntarily observe the authors request.

To be honest with you gblox isnt a very good cam for general decryption anyway - others like CCCam works far better. The main use for gblox is for sharing cards across the net which opens up a whole new kettle of worms For anyone to be accepted into the gblox community you generally have to be a trusted member of long standing as one rogue in a card share could cause all sorts of problems....

CCcam is probably easier to setup and use, and has more support. But if it ain't broke, why fix it?

@Tiku - suggest you try with CCcam.

come again?

You are on about matrix cam's, the dreambox card reader will read just about any card.

in an earlier post you were on about 2 dreamboxes, i am getting confused here.

Download CCcam, insert the card into the dreambox and the channel should clear. they was a topic the other week about how to get dishtv working with CCcam.

The best version of CCcam/gemini to use are the latest one's (makes sense), and as for box ID i do not have a clue if you need this.

Your post is quite confusing actually to what you were first after.

Sorry Sharkadder, Actualy I Am Working On 2-3 Projects At A Same Time, I Know
That DM. Is Multicrypt Embeded, But Before I Bought DM 500, I Was Trying Deperately A Hell Lot To Work This Card In An External UCAS Cam's Like
MR., Sky & Joker, As The Later Two Dont Accept Conax Card, So I Probably
Thought To Give My Time On MR. CAM. Which Is A SIDSA Based Chip And It
Accepts Conax Card. But Due To Its Unavaibility In The Menu Funtion Where
I Can Put The Box Id. It Does Not Decrypted The Channels.
As Dragon And T-rex Have A Option To Put In Them The Box Id Of NDS.
But In MR. There Is No Option. So I Have To Keep On Patching With Different Firmaware To Know What It Has In Them, But No Luck.
Now When I Saw This Article That He Has Succeeded In Matrix,Sky & Magic Which Are All UCAS, External Cams, I Thought To Share it With You People. If Anybody Any has Any Clue.
And About Box Id, Yes You Have To Put The Box Id In The CCCAM Menu.
Which Is Like This:-
Open the CCcam.cfg file which is in /var/etc/
You will need to add line to it for boxid.
BOXKEY: /dev/sci0 12 34 56 78
Over Here We Have Two Packages One Is TATA SKY And Another Is Dish Tv.One Is NDS And Another Is Conax V.7. Encrypted And Also Married To Thier Appropriate Boxes, Both The Cards Works Fine In DM500s. Provided One Has To Properly Put The Box Id. As Explained Above.

I can't speak for other broadcasters , but I can tell you in the case of S*Y UK you did need to put the box id in the cfg file. Since version 2.0 you do not! I'd recommend you buy a DM7020 or DM7025 and use CCcam, it will do everything you could possible hope for.
