Documentation for Dreambox

Hi guys, Dreambox works with Linux. This means that the receiver looks like a computer with a satellite card.

If someone is familiar with linux he can operate a dreambox. The question is: how can someone program the dreambox? How can he "talk" to the tuner/decoder?

Is there something like windows API?

Hello tesla

First you need to have some knowledge on c++ (which I take you already know) and to include the headers for the API which have the functions to control the DVB.

API you need is the standard one used with the dreambox
which is: API LinuxTV DVB. (search it for documentation)

I have somewhere the documentation and libareis where I used with a friend to build our own STB (burnt it using it for a month). I'll try found it and load it, but if you go directly to the site i think it was _www.linuxtv.com_ (or .org) they should have the latest source and documention for developers.

The api is called enigma for dm500, 600, 5620, 7000, 7020 and enigma2 for dm800, 7025, 8000.
