Cool Pub Sky Sports On DM7020

Hi guys, I'm just working on an installation in my local pub. They have the football plus package which gives you all Sky Sports and Setanta with the little white pint glass in the bottom right corner.

We are looking to use DM7020's instead of the standard sky box, for reasons I won't go into. However, when viewing Sky Sports we don't get the pint glass. Anyone know why this might be ?

Now, when scanning 28e I see Sky Sports 1 listed 4 times, can anyone shed any light on what these are ? For example, could they be Sky Sports 1 UK, Sky Sports 1 Cable, Sky Sports 1 ROI, and Sky Sports 1 for Pubs ?

Some of them clear with our card, some don't, but none show the pint glass.

Any ideas guys ?

Well, according to this:-
_http://business.sky.com/czone_fighting_fraud_qa.asp

it doesn't appear all the time, is it there all the time with a Sky Box?

I was also wondering whether the box generates the Pint and overlays it onto the video.

use skybox for sky and dreambox for all the other stuff.

If you really have cancelled the subscription and are getting it from reason's you arn't going into *wink wink* then it's your own problem really lol.

It's a risk dude, if you have a sub, use the skybox to protect yourself, if it's because you need the card to do something then maybe get a basic sky card package and use that instead?

I suspect that B16 has NOT cancelled the pub sports subscription.

Using a domestic subs in a pub is just as bad according to the link on the Sky website.

Well it either has to be separate channels with graphic and, or the graphic is generated by the Sky digibox when a sport channel is selected using a pub subscription, but either way, it looks like it may not work with anything other than a Sky digibox.

The pids for the pub sports channels may not be broadcast and this may be to prevent someone with a non digibox trying to go multiscreen with a single subscription, or card sharing with another pub, not of course that I am suggesting that this is what you are trying to do.

Guys, to clear up any speculation I simply want to card share within the building. Looking on Lyngsat it turns out there's different transponders for the pub channels. I'll manually scan these and see the results tomorrow. Hopefully the specific channels carry the pint glass icon... As this applies to Setanta too on the foootball plus package.

Pressing the green button on some sky channels allows you to switch between pids

on gemini yes, but what i noticecd is that is for interactive, i watched a match on sly the other day, out of the 4 sly sport 1 channels, only the bottom one works (4th in the list), you change pid via green button on second and third one and it shows the picture but in small screen and as though your interactive. I've never been able to get the top sly sports one to clear.

For me the bottom one works, but it's the Irish version.

In addition to the four correctly named channels I also get one called SP1 on 12110H and this is the standard UK version.

Why it is not named in full beats me, although I see that KingofSat lists it as SP1.

yep, the test channel also works, i'm assuming the top1 is the pub one which we cannot get.

Isn't there a simple plugin that someone could program, to enable someone to overlay a transparent gif image onto a channel?
