Thanks. If I'd thought about it at the time, I could've used TSReader on my DVB PC card for those, as it has all the info.

A small problem here mate. I'm on a DM7025 I don't get the same plugin list as other boxes. The bitrate viewer is not on my list. If you know its available for 7025, then I'm more than happy to get it installed and help the project. I checked IHAD but its not there.

I've just realised there's similar util already in blue panel, system info, stream traffic. This does show me a video and audio bit rate, however the video moves a lot. Am I right in thinking your plugin gives you an average value. The value I see can move over 800kbit in a couple of seconds. Its almost impossible to record it.

Any suggestions ?
Regards
MCC

dreambox

if i had a dreambox now i would have helped.considering i only work 4 hours a day and semi retired now. But i dont think i could handle a dreambox. anyway with the linix system sounds a bit complicated. Anyway my TM6900 HD gets delivered on saturday. think i going to have my hands full with this. i assume the dreambox is the only reciever that can show bitrate ! i wish the forum members who are helping the best. i think they are doing a great job well done boys!!

There is probably a good reason why it is not on the list.
I don't think that it would be a good idea to install a plugin that might not be suitable for your box.
Thanks for your offer to help.

I didn't like the stream traffic monitor in the past. This is why I used the plugin instead. Gives four values as shown in post #1

My System: I bet on red. If I lose, I double the bet on red again. I continue with this until I lost everything.

Muhuhuhahahahahaaaaarrrgggh

Here is my list. Unfortunately I could not find many statios, even though I scanned the sat and the frequencies. I suspect that they euther have diferent names or that these are old stations not in use any more. TG.

Thanks T_G.
Especially on this special day.
I took the list from Eutelsat website instead of my box's channels list thinking that they are up to date. But don't worry, I will give a complete list in the end.

It might be worth doing the same study on 28E when this one is finished - name and shame the channels with unacceptably low bit rates (are you listening ITV? )

EDit - its already done:
