Quick question ree Dream Box channels

When I'm looking at the channel list on the Dream box, I've came across to all the normal sky channels.. Is there a way to watch these ?? If so how do you do it ? I have a sky card, does this help ?

What image are you using?

Install CCcam, set it as the default cam and put your sky card in the upper slot.

You'll be able to watch the channels that your card allows.

Tried the card in the hole and don't seem to be getting any channels. No even the free ones

Check that card is inserted chip down.

Then try installing CCCam Control Centre so you can see what is going on.

CCcam Info. If you have a newer Gemini image you can download it usingBlue Button > addons

if he's not getting the free channels, no chance of getting the encrypted ones, card or no card !
first make sure you can receive the free channels (BBC-ITV). That way we know your dish is correctly aligned & connected to your dreambox. Once that is the case, install CCcam & set as default emu (NO cardserver !), insert sky card (chip facing down) & reboot. this should open all the Sky channels you are paying for (and nothing more).

I've just realised that my dish isn't picking up astra 28. Why do you think this is and how can I get it ???

Where is it pointing? What channels do you get? Do you have a motor?

You could have provided these details in your first post.

1. Who knows? If you don't we certainly don't. Perhaps you're watching channels on another satellite...
2. Move the dish until it points to 28.2. It helps to know where it's pointing now.

lolz he is not getting any signal;try adjusting your dish to get proper signal do this
menu>setup>service searching>sat find then u will be able to see signal respone and the lnb power adjsut accordingly and check whther there are 2 check marks in front of them

Flippin heck, talk about bringing it back from the dead. You are right though, he isn't getting a signal.
