If you mean USB flash stick, then a SanDisk Cruzer Micro works great.
I have tried both 1GB and 8GB in the 7000S and had no problem.
Even managed to record using Gemini 4.5.0 (has a new record menu).
But if you mean USB HDD, then I have to admit that I haven't used this possibility yet, as I am concerned about a PS oveload.

The price is too expensive.
SanDisk 8GB can give you 4 hours of recordings and you can take it out and copy the *.ts files directly to your PC's HDD.
If you haven't got a HDD installed, I suggest that you would have that in addition to the 8GB USB flash, instead of buying a 64GB USB flash.
Please update your location.

My System: Dream7020 and AZ Elite

An usb-stick is a nice tool if You want to test or save some images without installing them all. Today most of the common brands are working very good so You can choose from the price and not from the brand.

I use a cheap 4MB stick and it works fine for me.
