My System: hp laptop and looking to buy a dreambox!
noob question

hi im totally new to the scene, a friend of mine has a dreambox, nt sure which one it is, anyway he's got it connected to his net connection and he gets all channels free, but he pays each year to keep his box live.

i was just wondering how this is done and how i would go about getting such a box?ive already asked him and his amte hasnt gt any.

Welcome to the forum 2raaas

I think we need to establish something first, are we talking about a 500-s i.e. satellite system with dish and lnb or are we talking about a c a b l e box? if the latter then discussion is not allowed on this satellite TV forum

If hes paying for his channels its not free

There are two ways this can be done.

Firstly is via satellite using whats known as a card share system. (Plenty of info on the forum about c/s if you want to investigate further)

Secondly via cable tv delivery - discussion of which is strictly forbidden here as Topper has already mentioned.

hi thanks for your replies, well we havent got cable in our area it cant be that, as far as i know the box is connected to the s k y dish, the internet and his tv.

he paid £200 for the box and he says hes gta pay £20 a year to get all channels.
